Please join us for an incredibly touching and important evening to learn about the Syrian Refugee situation and to help the cause.
We hope that this film will help eliminate hate toward everyday muslims, raise awareness about the state of the refugee crisis, and help to raise some funds for the refugees themselves.

Q&A with Dr. John Sager who has spent time in the Al-Zaatari refugee camp featured in this film
Over last twenty years Dr. Sager participated in medical trips to Nepal, Pakistan, Malawi, Zambia and most recently Syria and Greece.
John Sager grew up in Pakistan and went to an International school. His family moved to Ashland in 1973 and he attended Ashland schools (graduating AHS in 1981). He attended Lewis and Clark College, Northwestern University Medical School and completed his OHSU Family Practice Residency in Portland, OR. Dr. Sager worked in Alaska for 4 years with the Health Service in Ketchikan. In 1998 he began his private practice in Ashland, and recently joined Asante.
Three years ago I googled “Syrian Refugee medical help” and found a group called the Syrian American Medical Society that was sending doctors to Syria, Turkey and Jordan to help in providing medical care to Syrian refugees. That was my first trip and I have gone roughly every six months ever since. We treat anyone who needs our help along the Syrian-Jordanian border including in Al-Zaatari refugee camp, where the movie was filmed.
